De bedoeling was om lekker op te rijden en met de Jaguar te gaan, maar de weersvoorspellingen waren erg slecht. Tussen de buien was het soms even droog. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>De landschappen en de donkere en afwisselende luchten zijn adembenemend. Het was zo mistig, je kon niet veel zien, alleen in Jedburgh was het even zicht even wat beter. Iverarny is een leuk toeristisch plaatsje. Via de Tourist information werden we verwezen naar een B&amp;B in Furnace (heel toevallig bij haar ouders). Een schattig huisje, piepklein kamertje, maar een geweldig uitzicht. Daar wilden we het <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hill_House,_Scotland\">Hill House<\/a> bezoeken. Bij de Tourist information waren ze niet echt behulpzaam, maar een kok van een hotel waar we langs liepen raadde ons aan om te gaan eten bij McCullems in Troon. Toevallig had ik net een hotel gevonden in Troon wat er wel goed uit zag.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Het <a href=\"http:\/\/www.piersland.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Piersland hotel<\/a> was perfect en na wat onderhandelen van Eric kregen we een enorme suite voor een leuke prijs. De manager bleek toevallig een Nederlander te zijn en die probeerde ons nog over te halen om in het hotel te eten, maar we wilden echt Lobster eten dus bood hij ons aan om een tafel te reserveren bij McCullem&#8217;s. Dat bleek geen overbodige luxe te zijn want het restaurant liep helemaal vol en diverse stellen werden teleurgesteld weggestuurd. Grena Green is niet veel bijzonders, dus snel weer door via Lockerbie om te lunchen in Brampton. Bij de <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lanercost_Priory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lanercost&#8217;s Priory<\/a> was een trouwerij aan de gang en twee wat oudere heren zaten in de trouwauto&#8217;s te wachten tot het bruidspaar uit de kerk kwam. Dat was een mooie gelegenheid voor Eric om hun het \u00e9\u00e9n en ander te vragen.
