Na de klim gisteren bij de gouden tempel in Dambulla haak ik hier af. In een klein hotelletje met uitzicht op de rots installeer ik me met een biertje en mijn eReader. Eric en Hapu gaan de rots wel beklimmen. Halverwege de rots zijn grote oude fresco&#8217;s te zien.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miriamsteger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/1541592769-1083-12413456244-598ce26310-c.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><br style=\"clear: both;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tijdens de reis hebben we wel een paar Mini&#8217;s gezien, maar altijd te laat om een foto te nemen. Eindelijk is het dan wel gelukt. We kopen een paar mango&#8217;s die op een handige manier worden open gesneden zodat je makkelijk een stuk kan af happen. Wat een verkeer!! Ongelooflijk waar al die mensen vandaan komen. En dan is het nog rustig want het is zaterdag. Het hotel is een oud koloniaal pand. Het ligt mooi met op het terras uitzicht op Colombo en het uitzicht vanuit ons bed is ook schitterend.<\/p>\n<p><a \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><br style=\"clear: both;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8217;s Avonds ontmoeten we Chitra en Lalith in ons hotel. Helaas hebben we geen tijd gehad om bij hun Engelse schooltje langs te gaan. Chitra&#8217;s naam hebben we via vrienden doorgekregen. Zij hebben een schooltje dat gratis Engelse les geeft. We hebben van te voren gevraagd wat we mee konden brengen. We hebben oude werkende mobiele telefoons met adapter, brillen, schriften, balpennen etc. voor ze mee genomen.
